Abyss is the only freeshard where PvE leveling is entirely optional.
That is because we have a viable and fun PvP leveling system.
Our custom battlegrounds feature capture the flag events, PvP tournaments, a no-adding feature, and more.
There are no requirements. No need to PvE for days. No need to make a template first.
Just login, enter a battleground, and start bashing skulls.
An alternative way to level up is via classic DAoC PvE, with a twist:
You can communicate and group up with players from other realms.
Be aware that PvE on Abyss is challenging:
More adds, fewer drops, no power leveling, no focus pulling. Your tanks and crowd controllers will be tested!
Also: No quests, just good old DAoC grinding!

The endgame takes place in custom battlegrounds and/or the old frontiers.
Our endgame system is mostly focused on small scale PvP (solo and small groups)
Ever wonder who the best players on the server actually are? Well, we are about to find out. On Abyss we will be hosting automated PvP tournaments every few days. There will also be a tournament ladder, and the top players get unique titles.
Tournaments will range from 1v1 up to 8v8 and can feature same-realm or x-realm teams.
Since our endgame is 100% PvP, we added a custom crafting system that works better with it. Every time you kill an enemy you have a chance to get a random crafting orb. You can use those orbs to craft and modify items in different ways (some of them unpredictable and risky).
You can only get orbs via PvP.
