How to connect to the server

To connect to the Abyss server there are 2 things you need to do:
1) Download a DAoC client
2) Connect to the server with a launcher or a command

Download a DAoC client

We recommend that you download the OpenDAoC client here.

Connect to the server

There are 3 different ways to connect to the server.
1) Using the Abyss Launcher
2) Using DAoCPortal (which some of you have already installed)
3) Using a command

Connect using the Abyss Launcher

You can download the Abyss Launcher here
After running it, click on options, then click on "Locate game.dll" and locate the game.dll in your client directory (make sure it's a v1.127 game.dll, it should have a size of 5,764 KB)
Then save, fill out your account and password and press play. Your account will be created automatically.

Connect using DAoCPortal

You can download DAoCPortal here or here
After running it, click on File -> Settings -> Browse and locate the game.dll in your client directory (make sure it's a v1.127 game.dll, it should have a size of 5,764 KB)
Then close the settings window, fill out your username and password, select our server (Abyss) in the list of Free Shards and click Play!

If you don't see Abyss in the serverlist or the serverlist is offline: Switch to the Custom Shards tab -> right click in the center -> Add Server -> Enter these options:
Name: Abyss
Description: -
IP: 5.75.147.89
Port: 10300
Then select the custom shard you created, fill out your username and password below and click Play. Your account will be created automatically.

Connect with a command

Run cmd.exe or another command shell -> use the cd command to find your DAoC client's directory -> then use this command:

connect.exe game.dll 5.75.147.89:10300 username password

Make sure you change username and password to your desired username and password. Your account will be created automatically.
